You can’t deny that trends of viral marketing with the aid of a little sense of humour has been growing rapidly. In fact, if you do it the right way, you can get people talking not only about your ads but also your brand.
The recent most talk about commercial on air that you may have noticed would be the Cadbury eyebrow ad. In case you have not seen it…
Of course, I am not the first and only one to have linked this clip..
But when it comes to really funny and creative advertisements, I would say that the Thais are the most creative bunch of people! Sometimes it just gets me wondering who are those funny people in the advertising agencies. I am not claiming that their TVCs are very effective (‘cause I don’t even know if they have achieved their objectives) but most importantly, they have got my attention and got me laughing!!
The below ads I am about to share have been done a few years back and I couldn’t even remember how I chanced upon these commercials. Anyway, I have chosen those classics that are the most impressionable to me. You might have seen them before but I guess no harm watching again for another laugh!

Not only funny commercials, there are a lot of other TVCs machiam drama that last longer than 3 mins or so. One example…and many many more online as well! Is it that airtime in Thailand is super cheap or just that these companies have too much budget to spend?
I don’t know how effective is this ad. Touching though..
At least, IMO, these TVCs neutralise some other ads which are either too boring or too sexuality, especially those that objectify women!
